One more photo of the statue that perhaps gives you a better view of its size. The dedication ceremony marked the end of a 4 year project that started in 2005. Tyrus played a key role in the whole project from beginning to end. The committee first met to talk about what they could do to honor Dean Dinnison, Boy Scout Leader of Troop 325. He was Bryceson and Ryan's Scout Leader and not only had a wonderful influence in their lives but also in many, many other boy scouts and their families over the years. Dean was the Scout Leader of Troop 325 for 36 years and during that time 50 boys became Eagle Scouts from his troop. The statue is beautiful and is placed in a lovely setting in Spokane's Riverfront Park.
